South West Water has selected Echo's water software to support its debt management activities...
The major water provider, which serves Cornwall and Devon, as well as parts of Dorset and Somerset, already uses Echo's market leading billing and customer relationship management solution RapidXtra, and has now implemented Rapid Recovery - RapidXtra's integrated debt management solution - as part of its services.
South West Water switched to Rapid Recovery from another third party provider in September 2017 as part of its aims to streamline its customer service and debt management capabilities, removing the need to transfer customer data between systems, while creating a more robust and adaptable offering for customers.
"We are delighted South West Water has expanded its use of RapidXtra to include the Rapid Recovery solution. The fully integrated debt management functionality enables flexible recovery profiles to be tailored to suit different types of customers and debt."
Mark Alfer, head of operations, Echo Managed Services
Rapid Recovery will enable South West to streamline its working practices, helping to keep bills lower for customers. The ability to store customer information in a single place will also make it easier to monitor data and remove the requirement to transfer data between platforms, greatly reducing the chance of errors.
The system also makes processes more transparent and responsive to changing customer needs, which is essential in a fast moving market.
"We are really pleased with RapidXtra, our chosen billing and customer service solution, and we are looking forward to the introduction of Rapid Recovery, which will enable us to be more responsive to our customers' needs."
Moira Gilmour, debt prevention manager - systems, South West Water
