We have a number of opportunities for Collections Advisors who have the desire to succeed and who thrive in a target driven environment. You will play an integral role in our Collections Team and collect outstanding water charges through inbound and outbound call handling whilst keeping the customer at the heart of every interaction. You will proactively engage with customers who have arrears to support them in repaying overdue payments. You will manage the customer relationship to facilitate and negotiate an appropriate resolution, providing advice appropriate to their circumstances and agreeing a suitable plan that works for both the customer and the business.
To be successful you will be an excellent listener with the ability and flexibility to adapt to each customer’s needs. You will be an articulate individual with strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers. You will be a strong negotiator with a passion for customer service. As a self-motivated individual who enjoys a fast pace environment you will demonstrate a natural ability to negotiate and persuade customers. You will have GCSE’s (or equivalent) in Maths and English, alongside knowledge of Microsoft packages.
This will be an ideal opportunity for an individual with a Customer Service background and a strong understanding of, and interest in, cash collection and debt recovery or an experienced Collections Advisor looking for a fresh challenge. The Collections Team covers a working window of 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. You will be required to work varied shift patterns during these hours including some weekend and bank holiday work.
