Major changes in water metering have taken place in recent years. Issues of water scarcity and affordability have pushed metering towards the top of the political and commentary agenda. Developments such as the increase in household metering and the application of remote reading and data logging, particularly in non-household metering, have made the subject a much greater concern for water companies.
